Ben, I know that sad fact about men. The parenthesis were to imply ... if you're a man, answer "What is so great about being a man?" Besides being able to pee wherever you want.

Hurt
Say Congtatulations
It's none of my business.
Bite my tongue until it bleeds not saying anything else until Much later on (years? I hope not) when I've recovered my equilibrium regarding the situation and can ask with well-disguised emotions, "Hey - what happened back then?"

Maybe I would use it as an exercise in maturity and self-discipline, but probably not. I know I'd be thinking, Why him and not me? What am I - chopped liver? Of course he's the good parent. He never has had to say no in matters emotional, social, financial or any other -ial a kid grows up with.

But then I never said I was perfect; just a Mom.

Hearts
That I Take

  • ThursdayLove
Once I loved someone, so I made home-made hearts to send him via email each day. He secretly liked them, while pretending not to realize that it meant I loved him. Then I quit being "in love", and quit sending the hearts, altho I kept taking pictures - now in memory of Jacob.

Eleven months out of the year, I spend Sundays watching NASCAR. I like Dale Jr., and Jimmie Johnson. It's not a well-known secret, but I love Jeff Gordon.

I collect hearts. What can I say? Just a silly hobby. They tell me it's important to have a hobby.
