Muttin pulled her shivering stunt on me again. Only now I'm on to her. She was getting into a nasty habit (must rethink this - oh right, I have editorial control) okay, she had a nasty habit of shivering whenever I looked at her. And of course, me being the sweet softy that I am, I'd cuddle her up, and give her the best place on the couch and generally make a fuss over her. I mean, after all, I DID give them a haircut too soon, and it snowed the day after I gave it too them.
So one day, I was sitting with a mirror in my hand, trying to decide whether to chop off my hair or not. Muttin was sitting on the floor in front of me, wanting attention. I'd look at her, she'd shiver. At one point I happened to turn the mirror around so that I could see her in the mirror, but to her it looked like I was looking out the window. When looking at her reflection in the mirror, she stopped shivering. When I took the mirror down and looked directly at her, she'd shiver. Looked at her thru the mirror, she'd stop shivering.
Busted! I told her. And she's not done it since. The shivering era is over.
